If I am staying on site but driving to the MK (to make early morning character breakfast) reservation, will I park near the ticket booths at the front of the park? Or, will I park somewhere else and have to walk?

    Hello Erin!

When you are visiting the Magic Kingdom and are driving your own car, you have to park at the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). From the TTC, you can get to the Magic Kingdom by monorail or ferry. Both the monorail and ferry will drop you off steps from the front gates to the park.

When driving, follow the signs for the Magic Kingdom, and they will lead you to the TTC, where there will usually be parking lot attendants directing you where to park. Depending on which section of the parking lot you are in, you can walk to the monorail and boat dock, or wait for a tram which will drive you to the TTC itself. When you arrive, the boat dock will be to your left, and the monorail platform will be straight ahead and up a ramp.

Usually the monorail is the faster of the two methods, but the ferry is also a very enjoyable way to travel. We always like to ride the ferry at least once when we're on vacation.

Enjoy your character breakfast at the Magic Kingdom and have a fabulous vacation!
