Welcome to planDisney Shane! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question. How exciting that you’ll be calling
Disney’s Contemporary Resort home during your visit, what a magical location just steps from Magic Kingdom! I’d be happy to help you sort out Early Theme Park Entry and how it applies to your dates and Park Hopper tickets so you can make the most of every pixie-dusted morning.
You can take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry on March 25, but only if your reservation at Disney’s Contemporary Resort includes the night of March 24, meaning your official checkout day is March 25. Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry benefit is tied to your resort stay rather than the park ticket itself. As long as you are listed as an active guest at a Disney Resort hotel on that morning and your park admission is valid for that day, you are entitled to enter any of the four theme parks 30 minutes before the official opening time.
Disney specifically notes that the benefit applies every day of your stay, including your checkout day. So if your stay runs March 22 through March 25 (checking out on the morning of the 25th), you would still be a resort guest that morning and fully eligible for Early Entry. This can be a great way to make the most of your last day. Many guests leave their luggage with
Bell Services after checkout, enjoy early access to one of the parks, and then return to the resort later to pick up their bags before heading home.
However, if your reservation ends the night of March 23 with checkout on March 24, you would not be eligible for Early Theme Park Entry on March 25. Even though your 2-day Park Hopper ticket is valid through that date, the Early Entry privilege is reserved for guests actively staying at a Disney Resort hotel. Once your stay ends, that benefit does too.
Shane, I hope this puts your mind at ease as you finalize plans for your stay at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. If March 25 is your checkout day, you’ll be all set to enjoy Early Theme Park Entry and squeeze in a little extra magic before you head home. Thank you for visiting planDisney with youe question. Here’s wishing you a smooth, sparkly visit filled with favorite attractions, easy mornings, and plenty of pixie-dusted memories!
