We are staying on site and are able to make our Advanced Dining Reservations on October 12th. Will I be able to make Candlelight Processional Dining Package reservations when they go on sale October 6th?

    Season's greetings, Jim!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this magical question! As a big fan of the holidays, I always love answering these types of questions and spreading some holiday chEAR at the same time. Plus, there are so many ways to celebrate the holiday season while at the Walt Disney World Resort, so let's talk about how you can make your vacation extra magical.

First, although Candlelight Processional dining packages will be available to book starting on October 6th, 2022, you are still only able to start making dining reservations 60 days before your arrival date, which is on October 12th, 2022. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, don't forget that you will be able to book your dining reservations for your length of stay on October 12th, for up to 10 days of your vacation. Plus, Le Cellier Steakhouse will be newly available for dining packages this year, so that advantage will surely come in handy. The packages would be such a great way to experience the Candlelight Processional as well as one of Disney's most recommended restaurants at the same time!

Second, I thought I would share some of the other things you will be able to experience while ringing the season at the Walt Disney World Resort! As you know, the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays will be returning on November 25th, 2022, and will bring back all of its unique offerings. I love this festival because not only do you get to try different holiday treats, but you can even learn about holiday traditions from around the globe at the same time! Plus, those with a sweet tooth in your party will want to participate in the Holiday Cookie Stroll, where you can get a complimentary treat after visiting the select booths with participating cookies. Outside of EPCOT, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is also one of my favourite holiday offerings. It includes holiday fireworks, a parade, entertainment, treats, merchandise and even overlays on some of your favourite attractions! Lastly, be sure to visit the special gingerbread displays at select Disney Resort hotels. You can even buy various holiday treats inside the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa!

I hope this was helpful, Jim, and that you and your Ohana will have the most wonderful time at the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any other questions or need more festive recommendations, don't hesitate to reach back out. It is never too early to get excited about the Holidays!

Have a happy, merry, holly jolly day,
