Hi Heather!
Welcome back to planDisney.
One of my favourite things to do is visit some of the Disney Resort hotels, just to explore, buy some resort-specific merchandise or enjoy a drink. You may be permitted to park at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for a drink at
Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace, but at busy times on-site parking may be limited only for guests staying at the hotel or for guests with a dining reservation.
You could drive to the Transporation and Ticket Center (TTC) which is the parking lot for the Magic Kingdom, but there will be a parking fee. From there you can take a short walking path to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The bus service from Shades of Green also runs to the TTC -
here is the bus schedule for this week, to give you an idea of the service.
The quickest way would be to use a Lyft rideshare - download the Lyft app to your phone, where you'll see all the available vehicles and various prices. It's such a short distance that this would be a reasonably inexpensive option. If you fancy travelling in style you can also book a
Minnie Van™ Connected by Lyft by using the same app. You'll see the Minnie Vans driving all around the Resort, with their distinctive red and white livery!
Please come back and visit us again if you have any further questions, and you can
send me a direct question if you wish. We are always happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World.
Sue
