We will be staying at the Shades of Green Resort & buying our WDW tickets there. Can we still do the Dining Plan? Also do we have to have the plan for the entirety of our stay? We only plan to go to the parks 3 of the 5 days we will be there.

Unfortunately the Disney dining plans are only available as part of a Magic Your Way vacation package.  What that means is that in order to purchase the plan, you must also purchase Disney resort hotel accommodations, and admission tickets in one package.  Since you will be staying at Shades of Green, you will not be eligible to purchase the dining plan.

You may want to look into some of the specials that are offered through Shades of Green though.  They do have on-site restaurants and often times they offer discounted packages that include breakfast, dinner, or both.  Of course, the packages only include restaurants at Shades of Green, not any of the Disney restaurants.  If you plan to spend a decent amount of time at the resort though, one of those packages may be just right for you.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
