    We are staying at Shades of Green in early August for four days. I am pregnant and we have a very active 2-year old son. I have read that the transportation isn't the best there. Should we rent a car, and if so, can we get one with a car seat installed

    Hi Mary Louise!  Shades of Green is an awesome resort just for our military families and friends.  The resort is set back between the golf courses across from the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian resorts.  You can walk to the Polynesian or take the bus to the Transportation and Ticket Center but with you being pregnant I do suggest you rent a car.

    You can rent easily at the Disney Car Care Center which is located just down from your resort. They will pick you up at your resort when you need the car after check in if that works best.  There is a daily fee for carseats and boosters but they do have them. Make sure you put that request in when making the reservation explaining exactly what you need....front viewing seat, rear viewing seat, or booster seat.  I think you will find that a rental car for this resort will save you a lot of time and energy when heading to the other areas on property!
