We will be staying for seven nights at POP Century and my teenage son is not happy that there is no gym to lift weights. For a fee can he work out, (lift weights) at another Disney property hotel that has a gym?

Hey there, Jeff, and welcome to planDisney! It’s really cool to see how dedicated your son is to his fitness regime. If there was one piece of advice I could share with my younger self, it would be to stay committed to my workout routine. Surprisingly, fit bodies transform into dad bods much easier than you’d imagine!

Jeff, I reached out to a Walt Disney World Cast Member, and they stated that your son would not be able to work out at another Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. While I know this is not the news you - mostly he - was hoping for, I think there are still a few options available. Disney’s POP Century Resort has a great mile-long jogging trail that winds through the property. I’m assuming cardio isn’t a priority, but on that jog, he may run across a playground where he could sneak in a few pullups on the monkey bars. If you mix in some push-ups, burpees, and jumping jacks with those pullups, your son would still be able to get in a pretty good workout! Plus, with all of the walking the Theme Parks require, I’m sure things will even out in the long run.

I hope this helps, Jeff! You’re Disney Vacation awaits!
