Welcome to planDisney from one Susan to another! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question today--now let's make some magic!
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a wonderful place for a Disney vacation. As a
Disney Vacation Club Member myself, I've been able to stay at this resort in the past and I think it is a hidden gem! The Victorian-era theming and all of the green space around the resort make it a peaceful spot to relax after a long day in the theme parks.
Disney foodies rejoice!
Disney Dining Plans return to Walt Disney World Resort starting on January 9, 2024. Adding a Disney Dining Plan to your existing reservation is easy. If a friend or family member booked your reservation for you, they can add the Dining Plan of your choice from the Member Dashboard on the Disney Vacation Club website. They will click on your upcoming reservation from the "My Vacation Plans" list and several options will appear. Next, select "Purchase Dining Plans" and they can choose the plan you would like for your trip.
Susan, if you're trying to decide between the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, I recently shared some
specific details about both options with another Guest, which may be helpful to determine which plan is best for you (spoiler alert: I love Resort Refillable Mugs!).
One of my favorite things about staying at Saratoga Springs is being so close to
Disney Springs! It makes it so easy to hop over for a meal or some shopping. On our upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, the newly-opened
Summer House on the Lake with its delicious Cookie Bar is on our list of must-try restaurants. You can travel to Disney Springs via bus or walk over via the handy pedestrian bridge, but I most enjoy taking a scenic ride on the
Sassagoula River Cruise from Saratoga Springs.
One more Disney Springs tip--our family had the opportunity to see the
Cirque du Soleil show Drawn to Life on a recent visit and it was amazing! It's a magical combination of Disney stories and animation and the jaw-dropping talents of Cirque du Soleil's performers. There are usually two performances per day and it's a delightful way to spend an evening that the entire family will enjoy.
