Hi there, Kathleen, and a hearty Welcome Home to the
Disney Vacation Club corner of planDisney! It's a very big day, and I'm so pleased to help you with your vacation planning question.
A stay at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is always a great idea! As a New Yorker yourself, perhaps you've visited the real-life inspiration for this beautiful Victorian-inspired resort. It's a large property, which I always think makes it feel very peaceful--and the location near
Disney Springs is a great spot for your home base while you're visiting
Walt Disney World Resort!
Kathleen, all of the
Deluxe Studios and Villas at Saratoga Springs have a toaster and a coffeemaker in the room. This is usually a 12-cup drip coffeemaker that uses flat-bottom filters, and you'll be provided with a starter pack of coffee and accessories upon arrival. My husband is quite particular about his morning coffee, so we pack a bag of his favorite blend or add it to a grocery order to be delivered to our resort! If you prefer a Keurig machine, there may be some available and you can inquire at the Front Desk after checking in.
As for Housekeeping--or Mousekeeping, as we like to call it--Members staying at a Disney Vacation Club Resort using Vacation Points, cash, or a combination of the two, will receive "Trash & Towel" service on Day 4 of a stay of 7 nights or less. For a stay of 8 or more nights (I fully endorse this--more Disney!), you will have a full room cleaning on Day 4 and Trash & Towel service on Day 8.
As you're entering the home stretch of your vacation countdown, let me share some tips for your sure-to-be delightful stay at Saratoga Springs:
- The pools at this resort (5 in total!) are so much fun. You can conquer the waterslides at High Rock Spring Pool or The Paddock Pool, or opt for a quiet afternoon lounging at one of the leisure pools with a good book and a refreshing adult beverage!
- Saratoga Springs has a fantastic fitness center if you're hoping to keep up with your workout routine. Check out some tips that I recently shared with a fellow Guest!
- As I mentioned, this resort is just a hop, skip, and a jump from gourmet dining, fantastic shopping, and live entertainment at Disney Springs. Stroll across the scenic pedestrian bridge from Saratoga, or enjoy a leisurely boat ride directly to the Springs.
- While at Disney Springs, don't miss the out-of-this-world Cirque du Soleil show Drawn to Life. It combines the amazing feats that Cirque du Soleil is known for with favorite Disney stories--it's a wonderful way to spend an evening!
Well, Kathleen, I hope this information is helpful for you and that you have a practically perfect vacation. Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, and please reach out again anytime with questions!
See Ya Real Soon
