We're staying at Saratoga Springs, do you recommend renting a car since its one of the furthest resorts from the parks?

    Hi again, Jennifer!

We personally never rent a car when vacationing at Disney World. From the moment we arrive at the airport, we leave the driving to Disney. The Magical Express takes us right to our Resort, and once on property, we use Disney transportation to get us wherever we need to go. With a family of 7, we would need to rent a Suburban or mini-van, so we save a bunch of money this way.

While Saratoga Springs is a bit of a ride from some of the Parks, it's not unbearable by any means. In fact, as long as we get a seat on the bus, we find it relaxing. We don't have to find somewhere to park, and they drop us off right at the entrance. In addition, its great to be able to walk to Downtown Disney from Saratoga Springs. What a lot of Guests don't realize is that if you don't have a car, you'll need to use some form of Disney transportation from all of the Resorts in order to get to at least some of the Parks. For example, even though you can walk to the Magic Kingdom from the Contemporary, you still need to ride a bus to get to the Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios from there, and you'd ride the monorail to Epcot. My kids know that riding a bus is part of the experience, and it would be that way whether we were staying in the Contemporary or Saratoga Springs.

I vote for not renting a car and putting the money you save towards souvenirs!

    Enjoy your trip,
