Hello we are staying at Saratoga Springs in October and would like to enter Epcot through the International Gateway. We planned on using "Away We Go" to transport us. Can we get to the gateway entrance using private transportation?

    Hi there, Laura!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for dropping by with your transportation question. Your magical getaway is just around the corner, so let's rev up the planning and prepare you for an unforgettable trip!

My family and I are Disney Vacation Club members, and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is our home resort. We love staying here; it's the perfect spot to unwind, with its serene atmosphere and oh-so-convenient proximity to Disney Springs. My son says one of the best features of this resort is easy access to Gideon's Bakehouse cookies. Honestly, he's not wrong!

The International Gateway entrance is accessible from the EPCOT area resorts and Disney's Hollywood Studios. The resort parking lots are usually reserved for guests with hotel or dining reservations, so ride share drivers and other transportation services might not always be allowed through the parking gates without one. Fortunately, Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney's Yacht Club Resort has some of the best breakfast and lunch dishes around, so consider making reservations and getting dropped off here. That way, you'll have a delicious meal, after which you can walk over to the International Gateway to start your theme park day. Bonus: if you're short on time, a buffet is offered during breakfast hours. Since the restaurant typically opens at 7:30 AM, you could sample several buffet selections and still reach the entrance in time for Early Theme Park Entry.

I hope this helps you navigate your upcoming adventure! You're arriving just in time to enjoy the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Be sure to check out this year's Foodie Guide, courtesy of the Disney Parks Blog. I can't wait to try returning favorites like the Brazilian cheese bread and sample new items like the Hawaiian rice bowl. Yum!

Thanks again for reaching out, Laura. If there's anything else we can do to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your trip, don't hesitate to write back.

    Cheers,
    Betsy
