We're staying at Saratoga Springs and will be having dinner at Kona in the Polynesian, what is the fastest way to get to the Poly using the transportation system?

    Howdy Jennifer!

Welcome back to planDisney. I’m super excited to hear that you will soon be returning to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Kona Cafe is on our list of restaurants to dine at when we stay at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows next year. Everything on the menu looks delicious, and we can’t wait to try it. Let’s get to your question so you can be on your way to dining there as well.

Alrighty, so first you will want to take a bus from Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa to the Magic Kingdom. You can then take the ferry to the Transportation & Ticket Center and follow the walking path to the resort. This will likely be the quickest way to get to the resort. You can also take the Monorail to the Transportation & Ticket Center and make the same walk. Finally, you can take the water taxi, but it will first stop at the Grand Floridian before continuing to the Polynesian Resort.

A couple of other options you might want to consider are taking a bus to EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios, then taking another bus to the Polynesian Resort. If you are interested in using a rideshare service, the Minnie Van is always a great option.

One quick reminder about your stay this summer is that you will have the benefit of complimentary admission to one of the Disney water parks on your arrival day. Both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be open, and either one will be a blast. If you arrive before your room is ready, be ready. I would recommend taking a small bag with anything you need for the water park, such as sunscreen, sunglasses, magic bands, etc. You can always change into your swimsuit at the park.

Jennifer, I hope that you and your family have a magical time dining at Kona. Please continue to stop by planDisney anytime you have a question, and we’ll be happy to answer.

    See ya real soon,
    Robert
