Hi Rachel,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a lovely resort. I am sure that you will enjoy your stay there!
You are correct, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a large resort and is spread out; however, it is divided into five main sections, which makes it easier to navigate. The sections are the Grandstand, The Carousel, The Paddock, The Springs, and Congress Park. The treehouses are in a separate location. The Springs is the most central area and includes the High Rock Pool as well as Community Hall, merchandise and dining locations. There are other pools throughout the resort. Each section also has its own bus stop, which is nice as it means that you can access Disney transportation from near your accommodation. When my family stayed on a recent vacation, we were in the Paddock area. I liked this section as we were very close to the Paddock Pool, and we were also able to relatively quickly walk to The Springs via a bridge.
As for
walking to Disney Springs, yes you can from Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. There is a pedestrian bridge that connects near the Congress Park area of the resort over to the Marketplace area of
Disney Springs. Please note that this could be a fairly long walk depending on where you are staying at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. You could make this shorter by taking the bus to the Congress Springs bus stop first. Also, boat service is provide between Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and Disney Springs.
Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Rachel!
