Hiya, Norman Exree!
I'm glad you've found your way to planDisney.
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is one of my favorite Disney Resorts Collection hotels –– in fact, it just so happens to be my
Disney Vacation Club Home Resort! For me, there's something really special about the Resort's air of casual sophistication that makes it perfect for relaxing after all the excitement of Walt Disney World theme parks. During your stay, be sure to take advantage of the Resort's close proximity to Disney Springs. There's nothing I love more than walking over to enjoy a little shopping and a dinner reservation at
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' before relaxing on a boat ride back to the Resort. With great food and a fantastic atmosphere, it's a magical way to end any Disney day!
Since it sounds like you're also planning to dine at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge during your upcoming visit, let me share a few suggestions for getting to and from the Resort. While there isn't any form of Disney transportation that will take you directly between Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, you do have several options for getting around. If you have a
confirmed dining reservation at the Resort, you'll have the option to take a taxi or rideshare service or drive your own vehicle to park at the Resort during your meal. Personally, I think this is the quickest and easiest method for traveling between Resorts. However, it's important to note that you
must have a dining reservation in order to park or be dropped off at the Resort's main entrance. Without a reservation, you or your driver won't be able to enter the Resort's gate.
If you'd like to take
Disney Resort transportation, you'll also have the option to board a bus to any Walt Disney World theme park or water park and transfer to an Animal Kingdom Lodge bus at the park. Finally, you could also walk or take the boat to
Disney Springs to jump on a Resort bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge. No matter what you choose, just keep in mind that you'll need to repeat the process in reverse (or choose one of these other methods) to return to your Resort. Also, if you choose either of these methods, don't forget to factor in extra transportation time –– you'll probably need at least 60 minutes (and possibly more) to arrive by bus.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Norman Exree. If you think of new questions as you plan your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I hope you'll visit us again –– we're always here to help!
Happy Planning,
Amy
