Hello I will be staying in a room this time as opposed to camping at the Fort. The rooms have refrig. & microwave. Can I bring a griddle to make pancakes or hamburgers? Traveling with 4 teenagers and trying to save a little.

Howdy Ruth! It’s great to see you again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Let’s get to feeding those hungry teenagers of yours!

It sounds like you might be planning a stay at the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. If you've enjoyed camping at the Fort in the past, I think you’re going to love experiencing it in a whole new way with a stay at the Cabins. They’re truly like your home away from home.

One of the first things you’ll notice when you step into your Cabin “home” is the full kitchen. That’s right, we’re talking full-size fridge and freezer, a stovetop, a coffeemaker, and a microwave that doubles as a convection oven. Your kitchen is also stocked with all the cookware you’ll need, and there’s a grill right outside near your private deck just perfect for grilling up some delicious burgers.

There's even a huge sink and a dishwasher to make tidying up easy, too. So don't you worry about a thing, Ruth. Your Cabin will be ready for you to cook up a storm. And all you have to bring is the vittles!

Ruth, I hope this helps you rustle up some mouth-watering grub during your stay in the wilderness. If you have any more questions, don’t be a stranger! We’d love to see you around these parts again real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
