    Hello, will be staying at riverside Oct19-29 and was wondering if you knew when Oct park hours will be out? First time at Riverside little unsure as we have always stayed at AKL during past visit. Any thoughts on Riverside? Thanks for the help. Roger

     Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Roger. We're glad to see you! It's my pleasure to answer your questions today.

     Your Fall visit to the Walt Disney World Resort sounds wonderful! I just chatted with a Cast Member about the park hours for October. Park hours are released about 6-months out, so you should be able to view them  for October on the Walt Disney World Resort calendar any day now!

     Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is my absolute favorite Resort hotel, but I also love Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, and I think you will too! Southern hospitality reigns at this Resort hotel, and the laid-back atmosphere is a nice contrast to the adventure-filled theme parks. My family prefers the Alligator Bayou section because my kids are fans of Disney's The Princess and the Frog, but the "mansions" in Magnolia Bend are just lovely! You have some great dining options at Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside; the Deep South Shrimp and Grits at Boatwright's Dining Hall is the ultimate comfort food - YUM.  Be sure to plan at least one evening in Disney Springs so you can enjoy a peaceful and convenient ferryboat ride down the Sassagoula River. If you have time, take a quick stroll to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter for some fresh beignets at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory!
