We are going to be staying at the Riverside hotel the week of the Fourth of July. We are taking a 3 and 5 year old and planning to use the bus system to get to the parks. Can I take my own double stroller on the bus? How do they handle that?

    Hi Page,

This is a great question. While the Parks offer Stroller rentals, I always encourage guests to bring their own from home as there will be quite a bit of walking. Yes, your double stroller will be accommodated on all forms of Walt Disney World transportation.

During the preschool years, I often traveled to Walt Disney World with two single strollers and sometimes I traveled with my double stroller. In my experience, I found it easier to travel with two singles. The buses will certainly transport your double stroller, but you'll need to break it down, fold it up and carry it onto the bus. I don't know about yours, but my double was incredibly heavy!

If you are traveling with another adult, you may wish to consider bringing two singles just out of sheer convenience. By the time my kids were 3 and 5, I was pushing about 100 lbs between their weights, our merchandise and, of course, the kid supplies in tow.

Send me any other questions you may have about traveling with two little ones. I'd be delighted to help you, Page!
