Hi! We are staying in a resort view room at the Grand Floridan Resort. Do you know the square footage of the room? Also, may I bring a toaster to use because there is not one in the room? They are requesting a microwave, but I was hoping to bring a toaster.

Hey, howdy, hey, Kristin, and welcome to planDisney. How exciting! You are staying at the most regal of all Disney Resorts Collection hotels and one that is a simple walk to my favorite place in the world, Magic Kingdom Park.

The room sizes vary and a resort view room may be smaller or larger than other views depending on the location with Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa campus. On average the room size will be about 440 square feet which are quite spacious for a family of four to enjoy time at the "Most Magical Place on Earth." Standard rooms have a coffee maker and coffee service but not a toaster or microwave. Microwaves are requestable but available on a first come first serve basis so double-check that you have requested it for your July trip. As a safety precaution, electrical items such as coolers, toasters, and hotplates are prohibited in Disney Resorts Collection hotels because they present a fire safety risk.

Kristin, I hope this info helps you enjoy a truly enchanted visit to see Mickey and the gang. Please feel free to stop by planDisney for more Disney vacation planning advice, answers, and tips.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
