Staying at the Renaissance Disney springs hotel early March, wondering what free things we can enjoy on day of arrival when we don’t have “park admission”

Welcome to planDisney, Kendra. I’m so happy that you’re a part of our world!

I completely relate to the feeling of immediately wanting to be where the people are when you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, even if you don’t have theme park admission on your arrival day. And if you want thingamabobs, the Disney Springs area has got plenty. And in this scenario, I’m referring to free and included things as thingamabobs!

First things first, there’s plenty to do at the Renaissance Orlando Resort and Spa. For starters, it has a zero-entry pool. I don't know about you, but I always feel like it's really a vacation when there’s sun, a pool, and a great lounge chair. If you’re traveling with kids, there’s also a game room with activities. Isn’t it neat?

Now, in case you’re channeling your inner Ariel and singing, “I want more,” this is the Disney Springs area we're talking about. And walking around this shopping and dining district won’t cost you a penny. I love to window-shop and take in the sights, and there’s often live music and entertainers throughout, especially on evenings and weekends. Check out the AdventHealth Waterside Stage and Springs in Motion to see what pops up when you're there!

You can also check to see if the Coca-Cola Polar Bear at the Coca-Cola Store is meeting. Seriously, that’s one of my favorite stores, and I was obsessed with those polar bears as a kid! If meeting characters strikes your fancy, you may be able to meet an M&M at the M&M'S store, too. And while not a character, going to The LEGO Store and looking at the larger-than-life displays both inside and outside is an experience in and of itself! Honestly, stopping at each of these spots and collecting these little moments can feel a bit like Ariel in her cave, gathering treasures along the way.

And don’t skip the Disney Springs Art Walk: A Canvas of Expression. Wandering through Town Center feels a little like stepping into Ariel’s grotto, where every turn reveals something beautiful and unexpected. It’s one of those hidden gems that quietly steals the show once you know to look for it.

Kendra, I hope that your arrival day is the perfect mix of relaxation and excitement and gives you permission to follow your curiosity wherever it leads. Please come back with any other questions leading up to, or after, your trip!

A world that makes such wonderful things can’t be bad,
    Matt
