Staying on property. I know there are fishing excursions, but they are out of budget. I can't imagine fishing @ WDW- so much to do, but others in my party seem to disagree :) Is there a place where you can fish just for fun at little or no cost? Thnx!

There is a fishing hole available at Port Orleans Riverside.  The cost is significantly lower than that of the other fishing excursions available at Walt Disney World.  It's open daily from 7am until 3pm.  You can rent your equipment right there onsite, but only until 2:30 p.m.  The cost, including equipment, is $4.00 per person per half hour.  However, if you have a large group that would like to take part, I would recommend you take advantage of the family offer which will run you $12.50 per half hour for up to six members of your party.  These prices are current as of October 2008 but are, of course, subject to change.

The fishing hole at Port Orleans Riverside is enclosed and well-stocked.  Do keep in mind though that it is a catch and release program.  Hope that helps!
