we are staying on property & getting magic bands. My mom plans on visiting us for the day.Are we able to get her a magic band & book all our FASTPASSES together? Or will it be a waste?

    Hi Kelly,

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel to ask your question! Since your family will be guests of a Walt Disney World Resort, you will be able to make your FastPass+ selections 60 days prior to your arrival. Unfortunately, since your mom will only be a day guest, and won't be staying on property with you, she won't be able to make her FastPass+ selections until 30 days prior to her visit.

While she won't be able to have her FastPass+ selections exactly match the selections of the rest of the family, she will be able to try to make selections as close to your selected times as possible. If she would like to have a MagicBand, they are available for purchase within the Walt Disney World theme parks, Downtown Disney, and even in the Disney Store within Orlando International Airport. Once she purchases her MagicBand, it can be added to her My Disney Experience account, and her park ticket can then be synced to her MagicBand.

I hope this helps you with your vacation planning, Kelly. If you have any other questions about your mom's MagicBand, FastPass+ selections, or any other part of your planning, please feel free to ask at any time.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
