Hi James! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'd be happy to help with your planning question.
Wow! Your Walt Disney World vacation is just about here! I always have a hard time sleeping the last few nights before a trip - I am just too excited. I see that you will be staying at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. Great choice! It's one of my very favorite Walt Disney World Resorts, and where my husband and I celebrated our first anniversary many years ago. We still return here from time to time, as we love the relaxing vibe and the compact size of the resort. Be sure to take the resort
ferryboat down the Sassagoula River to
Disney Springs for a fun night out!
When we travel to the Walt Disney World Resort by air, my family and I frequently have some essentials such as bottled water and breakfast items, delivered to our resort. We use the Amazon Prime Now app, and I recently answered a similar question for another guest in which I detailed
how the process works. The most important thing to remember is that you must be present to meet your driver in the lobby of your resort in order to receive your delivery. For an additional fee, Bell Services will assist you in bringing groceries to your resort room. Other services guests use include Garden Grocer and Instacart, and those will be subject to the same
rules for receiving deliveries at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.
Don't forget that for any immediate needs upon arrival, your resort store,
Jackson Square Gifts & Desires carries snacks, drinks, and other necessities. In addition,
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory has grab and go items available at breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you are looking to bring things back to your room.
I hope you have a wonderful stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, James. Stop by
Scat Cat's Lounge and have a few beignets for me!
