Staying at POR,we have 1030 reserv. at Cape May Cafe. What is the easiest way to get there and how much time should we need? Thanks for answering all of my questions on our first visit to disney. 17 days and counting! yeah!

    Hello, Beth!

17 days and counting? You must be THRILLED!

Disney Dining always suggests that Guests allow 1 1/2 hours to get from one destination to a dining location, and I've often found that following this suggestion usually gets us there a bit early, but very relaxed, so getting onto a bus at 9:00 a.m. would be a good idea.

Now to get from Port Orleans to Cape May Cafe, which is at Disney's Beach Club Resort, you have a few options.  One is to take a bus to Downtown Disney and then transfer onto a bus from DD to Disney's Beach Club Resort. If you have Park Hoppers which you're planning on using that day anyway, you could also catch a bus to Epcot, then walk to the World Showcase, at which point, you'll turn right, toward Canada. Just past Canada, you'll find England and, right before you cross the bridge into France, you'll see another entrance / exit to Epcot, called the International Gateway. Exit there and walk straight along the lake until you see the lakeside entrance to the lobby of Disney's Beach Club Resort, which will be about 5 minutes' walk from your exit. The entrance to Cape May Cafe is right there in the lobby!

When you are finished your wonderful breakfast, you can return via Epcot, or just take a bus to a different park, or DD, in order to return to PO.

(Maps of both Disney's Beach Club Resort and Epcot can be found on Walt Disney World's webpages, if you need a visual. :-) )
