Staying at Port Riverside June 2018 but have dinner reservations for Boma at AKL one evening. Are we allowed to walk around the resort after dinner if not staying at AK Lodge? Can the children participate in any activities they may be having as well?

    Hi Anita,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is probably my favourite Walt Disney World Resort hotel. I usually try to go there at least once, if only to dine at Boma - Flavors of Africa or at Jiko - The Cooking Place, even when I’ve chosen to stay somewhere else for that particular vacation!

You are absolutely allowed to walk around the Lodge and enjoy its amenities (with the exception of the pool area) after your meal at Boma. If there are any activities taking place outside of the pool deck, then your children will definitely be allowed to participate. Make sure to ask the Lobby Concierge for that day’s offerings. There are often craft activities in the (magnificent) lobby and storytelling by the fire pit over at Arusha Rock. Plus, just wandering around and enjoying the art and the animals will give you plenty to do after your dinner!

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
