Hey, Jim! Sure, you'll be able to get a hot breakfast or lunch at the
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Food Court located in The Port Orleans-French Quarter's main building called, The Mint. It is a counter-service restaurant which offers burgers, sandwiches, baked goods as well as New Orleans favorites like Muffaletta sandwiches, gumbo and jambalaya. This is also where you can pick up "grab-n-go" items if you're in a hurry. Also, for a little variety, the Port Orleans-Riverside resort is within walking distance and features two restaurants -- Riverside Mill Food Court (similar to Sassagoula) and a table-service restaurant, Boatwright's Dining Hall.
In addition, I would recommend taking a short boat ride to the Downtown Disney area and sampling a few of the restaurants there. You can grab a quick breakfast at the Earl of Sandwich, and if you've never experienced the House of Blues Sunday Gospel Brunch, it is a taste for
all the senses! My kids love the Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex (large portions!), and my husband and I enjoy Portobello, Wolfgang Puck Cafe and Fulton's Crab House.
Dining Options at WDW are always plentiful, but for most table-service restaurants, you'll need an
Advanced Dining Reservation. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
