We're staying a Port Orleans Riverside and visiting Animal Kingdom & Magic Kingdom over 3 days. What is the best way to nap a 2 year old? In the stroller in the shade somewhere? Back to the hotel (3 hour round trip)? Thanks! This panel is beyond helpfu

    Hi Victoria!

Honestly, with our three children, we did different things with each!  It really depends on your child's need for a nap, and how well they nap in a stroller, and your evening plans.

If they nap rather well in the stroller, then I'd suggest strolling them around, and then finding a shady spot, or a quiet attraction such as Hall of Presidents, or The American Adventure where you can sit and hold them and enjoy the air conditioned comfort and darkness.  These shows run a bit longer, but not long enough for a full-fledged nap for our kids.

Most of the time, for us...especially if we were planning a late evening, we'd take the time to head back to our resort.  It typically won't take 3 hours round trip to get to/from your resort.  I'd estimate 30 to 45 minutes each way for typical travel time.  Once at the resort, we knew the kids would get a proper nap, and then we'd have a snack and then head out to the parks for the evening.  If you're planning on making it an early night, then your child might do just fine with a little cat nap during the day!

    Have a magical vacation!
