We are staying at port orleans riverside resort. Can we rent fishing rods ? If so where and how much does it cost ?

    Hi Lynda!

You definitely can!  Cane pole fishing is a popular family activity.  The stocked fishing pond at Port Orleans Riverside is located on Ol' Man Island, right next to the Muddy Waters pool bar.  The fishing hole is open early in the morning, weather permitting, to about 1:30 to 2:00 depending on the time of year.  Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult guest.

The last time I did it, last fall, the price was $4.00 for an individual and $12.50 for a family (up to 6 members).  Those prices do not include tax and please remember that those prices can change at any time!

Also remember that all fishing at Walt Disney World is catch and release only!  Have a great time and good luck catching the "big one"!
