Hi Robert!
Welcome back to planDisney.
It's always a pleasure to assist my fellow guests from the UK!
I fully understand that you want to arrive at the theme parks as early as possible for rope drop, to make the most of your day at the parks. If you are using
Disney Buses they will start running from your Disney Resort hotel - Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside - approximately 45 minutes before park opening.
The
park calendars are only showing opening times up to July 30th, but keep checking back because your dates will soon be available. For the week of July 30th, all theme parks - Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park are opening at 9.00am, but as you are a Disney Resort hotel guest you have early entry to each park between 8.30-9.00am. If these times continue, your buses should start leaving your hotel at 7.45am, but please check with the Front Desk to see if they might start running earlier than that - in any case I would be at the bus stop by 7.30am to ensure boarding the first bus.
For the speediest transfer to the parks, I sometimes use Lyft (download the Lyft app where you can see the cars available and their various prices - it's usually quite inexpensive) but it should be noted that the only cars permitted to take you to the Magic Kingdom entrance are
Minnie Vans, all other cars and taxis have to drop you at the Transportation and Ticket Center, from where you'll take a ferry boat or monorail to the entrance of the park. The buses will drop you close to the entrance of each park, and cars will take you close to the entrance of all parks except Magic Kingdom Park. Disney Minnie Vans can be ordered by using the Lyft app.
Please come back and visit us again if you have any further questions, or you can
send me a direct question if you wish. We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World, and remember to keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news about events that may be happening during your stay.
