    We will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Is it possible to take a ferry to Magic Kingdom in the morning in time to see the park open? This is our first trip and I wanted to make the first time my preschooler goes as special as I can.

     Erica, I'm so happy to see you're planning your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. It will be so magically wonderful! It is my pleasure to answer your question.

     My family loves Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. The theming is so fun and the unique amenities are extra special! Our favorite amenity is the peaceful ferryboat service to Disney Springs. My kids think it's a legitimate attraction! Unfortunately, the ferryboats at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside can only transport Guests to and from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and Disney Springs.

     I'm happy to tell you that you can use your Resort hotel's complimentary bus transportation to get you to Magic Kingdom Park for the park opening. Guests can enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as an hour prior to park opening to explore the shops on Main Street, U.S.A., grab a coffee from Main Street Bakery, or take some family pictures by a Disney PhotoPass Photographer in front of Cinderella Castle. Let the Magic Begin, Mickey Mouse's welcome to Guests of Magic Kingdom Park, typically begins just a few minutes before official park opening. It's a magical way to begin your day! I would recommend being at your Resort hotel bus stop 60-90 minutes before the park's scheduled opening for the day you're planning your visit.
