My Disney Experience. When I made our room requests for our upcoming stay at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, I was able to make two requests. I selected ground floor for the first request. For the second request, I had a choice of near elevator, near Convention Center, or King bed. If you do not have the option to select a specific building or area of the resort when you do Online Check-in,
contact a Cast Member by Phone and ask them to make a note of that request on your reservation.
Once you arrive and receive the alert that your room is ready, always double-check the assigned room. If we have not gotten our requests, I usually call the phone number in the text message alert and speak with a Cast Member. Although room requests are not guaranteed, the Cast Members have always tried their best to accommodate our requests!
As you continue to plan, keep track of the
operational updates paying particular attention to
dining and
theme park experience updates. Make note of your
advanced dining reservation window and make those reservations as early as possible on the day your reservation window opens. I am always up and online by 5:45 a.m. Even when I am up early on the day that reservation window opens, some hard-to-get restaurants may still not be available, so be prepared. Cancelations do happen, so keep checking.
