We will be staying at the Port Orleans Riverside this May with my family including our 2 year old. I noticed that Port Orleans French Quarter has a kiddie pool play area. Can Riverside guests use this or do we need to switch to French Quarter?

Hello Amy!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    Good news...no switching required!

My family recently stayed at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and had a blast!  We frequently used the walkway that leads to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter because like you, I wanted my kids to experience the water play area at Doubloon Lagoon.

One of the many wonderful aspects of these two resorts is that guest are free to share the recreational activities and amenities of each resort regardless of which side of the Sassagoula River they call home.  Recently, the two Port Orleans Resorts initiated a new internal transportation shuttle to make it even easier for guests to enjoy all that Disney's Port Orleans Resort has to offer.

While your little one frolics in the Doubloon Lagoon water play area, you should try the Beignets at the newly-renovated Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory.  They are delicious!

Back at Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside, be sure to stop in and see Yehaa Bob Jackson at River Roost Lounge.  He is a true Walt Disney World treasure and not to be missed.

If any children ages 4 to 12 years of age are traveling with you, my daughter heartily recommends the Bayou Pirate Adventure that sails out of Riverside Levee Marina several times a week.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
