Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside is a fantastic place to stay! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, especially the Princess and the Frog theming. She's my favorite. My family and I always bring water bottles and drinks to enjoy at the resort, so having a beverage cooler in the room is very convenient. While there isn't a microwave in the standard rooms, you can find one in the
Riverside Mill Food Court, which is open from 7 AM to 11 PM. It's just a short walk, and I was able to warm up anything I needed before heading back to my room.
One of my favorite features of Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside is the pool access. Guests can enjoy not only the pools at Riverside but also the pool at
Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter. While you're in the French Quarter, don't miss
Scat Cat's Club - Café for a Mickey beignet; they're absolutely delicious! I may be biased, but I enjoyed them even more than those in New Orleans.
Another highlight is the relaxing transportation to
Disney Springs. Catching a ride on the Sassagoula River Cruise is a fun and scenic way to reach the incredible shopping and dining that await you there.
I also want to mention the
incredible benefits of staying at a Disney Resort hotel. From
complimentary transportation to
Early Theme Park Entry (which allows Guests to enter the parks 30 minutes before the general public), staying on site truly adds convenience and magic to your vacation.
