    We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside in July 2018. What is a preferred room? We would like to be close to the Food court!

     Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Janice. We're so glad to see you again! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the corner. How very exciting! My family is visiting this July too, and we. can't. wait.

     Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is one of my favorite Disney Resort hotels. I think you'll love it as much as I do! Preferred rooms are considered an upgrade, and offer close proximity to the restaurants, transportation, main pool, and lobby. At Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, preferred rooms are located in the Alligator Bayou section in buildings 14, 15, 18, and 27. You can request to be placed in one of these buildings, but if you want to be guaranteed a preferred room, I suggest modifying your reservation if it doesn't currently include this upgrade. You can modify your existing reservations by calling (407) 939-1936.

     Riverside Mill Food Court has lots of delicious offerings that are sure to please everyone in your travel party, but did you know that Disney Springs is just a convenient ferryboat ride away from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside? Disney Springs has incredible dining options! I highly recommend a stop at D-Luxe Burger, Paddlefish, and Wolfgang Puck Express.
