We will be staying at port Orleans Riverside in July 2014 ,my children are 13,16 and 17. I was wondering if the room is suitable for the 5 of us or should we try another resort. I would also like to know if Disney ever offers the free dining plan in July

    Hi Ken!

Port Orleans Riverside's themeing and amenities rivals with Disney's Deluxe resorts, but with a fraction of the cost.If you plan to be in the parks as much as possible, then I say go for it!The space will be cramped, but manageable. The rooms at Port Orleans are approximately 314 square feet which is the case with most of the moderate resorts. The updated Murphy beds convert from a bench by day to a bed by night, the beds are a little on the small side. The Murphy bed is a bit smaller than a twin size mattress,so unless one of your children is really on the small side I would maybe consider looking into other options.

Art of Animation family suites is a great way to stay inside the magic and give everyone their space. The family suites feature two bathrooms (with teenagers that can be a BIG deal), a small kitchen, bedroom with a Queen size bed, sofa that converts into a full size bed and table that also converts into a double bed. This resort is classic Disney and features the biggest pool at Walt Disney World.I personally prefer the Cars section due to the spectacular way Disney has recreated Radiator Springs, but all the sections are also equally amazing! While this might be a bit more expensive than a single room at Port Orleans Riverside,it might make for a much more pleasant vacation with the extra breathing room.

My family and I love taking advantage of Disney's Free Dining promotion!  It has given us the chance to save a lot of money and to try restaurants we may not have normally tried before. While in previous years it was offered for certain dates in July, it was not offered this year for any of the summer months. It's tough to say if they will bring it back or not, just be sure to check back with me as you can add the discount after you book your reservation should it become available.

I hope this was helpful and please let me know if I can help with anymore questions!

    Best Wishes!
