Hi, we are going to be staying at Port Orleans Riverside Hotel for our Disney vacation. What would you recommend to us as the best room location to stay in? We have a 7yr old and 4yr old & won't be taking a stroller. Thanks.

Hi Samantha! Thanks for bringing us this great question! Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort (POR) is divided into two distinctly themed areas, Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend. Alligator Bayou features accommodations in two-story Cajun-styled rustic buildings. Magnolia Bend offers accommodations in two and three story plantation-style Mansions. In Magnolia Bend, Oak Manor Mansion and Parterre Place Mansion are considered to be the most desirable locations due to their proximity to Boatwright's Dining Hall, Ol' Man Island (main pool area), the resort's lobby, and a bus stop. In Alligator Bayou Buildings 14, 18, and 27 are similarly situated in relation to these main areas. Since you are traveling with children and no stroller, I would recommend requesting any of those locations. You may review a map of POR here in order to determine your preference. However, please keep in mind that Disney does not guarantee room requests. Please contact Disney at (407) 939-7675. Give the Cast Member your Resort Confirmation Number and specify your room location preference. The Cast Member will make a note of the request on your Reservation. For more information about POR, please go here. Your family will love staying at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside!
