    Hello, we will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside with a "Garden view". I was wondering which building # or room #'s would be best for me to see if I could reserve which is closest to a pool and the dining hall? Thanks

    Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. I've stayed at this resort  just once and almost twenty years ago. Disney have what they call Preferred Rooms. Those rooms are exactly what you are looking for. They are located near to the main building (lobby) where the food court, restaurants and stores are and they are also close tho the bus stop for a better transportation without having to walk to much from your room to the bus stop. You will find a great review about this resort at Touring Plans, very well detailed and they even mention room numbers to ask and specif buildings numbers too. To ask for a specific location, you have to call directly to your Disney Resort, provide them your confirmation number and a Cast Member will say that they cannot guarantee what you asking for but I am sure they will do their best to please you. Study the resort map first and decide where in this resort would you like to stay.
