Staying at Port Orleans Riverside. What food is there that is egg, soy, and dairy free?

Welcome to New Orleans, Christine, I mean planDisney, it’s so nice to meet you!

In just a few short days you will be submerged in the New Orleans culture and the magic of Walt Disney World! I’m so excited for you it’s going to be incredible. Since you will be close to Port Orleans-French Quarter I recommend taking the short walk over for some beignets! I know you mentioned the allergies so double check the ingredients when you arrive but one of my best friends orders the beignets vegan style so that she too can get a taste of New Orleans.

The food court at your resort is called Riverside Mill, so you’ll want to take a look at their menu to see what options they offer that would fit your dietary needs. Scrolling through the menu online will see different headings with safe alternatives listed below each heading. Check out the “Egg Allergy-Friendly”, “Soy Allergy-Friendly”, and “Milk Allergy-Friendly” menus before ordering. If you have any additional questions about the menu, just ask! A Cast Member at that location will be more than happy to provide you with the ingredients list or allow you to speak to another Cast Member who is familiar with the allergy menus. As a mom to a dairy-free little one, I understand your worries. Thankfully, Walt Disney World Resort does an incredible job of understanding the special diets of its Guests. If you will be experiencing any Table-Service meals during your stay, I’ve experienced a chef coming out to discuss the allergies and answer any additional questions I’ve had about the menu. Honestly, traveling to Disney World with an allergy is easy to navigate with all the available options.

I hope this helps when it comes to planning out your meals for your upcoming visit, Christine. While you are visiting, I recommend downloading the My Disney Experience mobile app so that you can check out the different dining locations on the go. You’ll be able to open up the menus on your phone and read through the allergy-friendly menus as I mentioned above. It helps when it comes to planning out your day when you are in the midst of the magic. I usually like to pull up the menus when we are waiting in lines for attractions. It keeps my little ones busy talking about what snacks or meals we want to enjoy during the day. Plus, it makes the time in line go by a little faster.

Again, I hope this helps you enjoy all that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer! Enjoy your visit and if there’s anything else you need, you know where to find us!

    See ya real soon,
