We're staying at Port Orleans Riverside for our first trip to WDW! The kids are so excited! I've made reservations at the Cape May Cafe for a character breakfast at 8:45 a.m. What are the transportation options for getting there? What is the travel time?

    Hi Anne,

If I were traveling to the Cape May Cafe in Disney's Beach Club Resort from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, I'd board the Disney's Hollywood Studios-bound bus from your home resort.  When you arrive at Hollywood Studios, disembark the bus and head to the boat launch just to the right of the theme park entrance. (You do not enter the theme park). Take the next available boat headed to Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts.  You'll find the Cape May Cafe on the first floor of Disney's Beach Club Resort.

Another option is to board a bus at your home resort headed to Downtown Disney.  There you could transfer to a bus headed to the Beach Club.

Between these two options, I prefer the first one because I love to ride the boats at Walt Disney World, but either option will get you to your destination.  Whichever option you choose, I would allow yourself an hour to get from your home resort to the Cape May Cafe.

Have a lovely breakfast with Mickey and friends!
