Welcome to the Moms Panel, Jeffrey!

You will enjoy Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside with its overall southern charm, stately mansions and serene atmosphere.

Not knowing if you have booked a Preferred Room or a Standard View, I'll dispense general information pertaining to the areas of the Resort meeting with your specified criteria. Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is divided into two distinctly themed areas, Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend. Peek at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside map HERE.

Alligator Bayou features accommodations in two-story Cajun-styled rustic buildings. Whereas Magnolia Bend consists of two- and three-story plantation-style Mansions. In Magnolia Bend, Oak Manor Mansion and Parterre Place Mansion are considered the most desirable locations due to their proximity to Boatwright's Dining Hall, the Ol' Man Island main pool area, the Resort's lobby and a bus stop. In Alligator Bayou Buildings 14, 18, and 27 are similarly situated in relation to these main areas. I would recommend requesting any of those locations.

Please keep in mind that Disney does not guarantee room requests, however. That said, you may contact Reservations at (407) 939-1936. A Cast Member will note your preferences on the reservation. Alternatively, make your room request when completing Online Check-In.
