Hi Katherine,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. Springtime magic is all around during Easter at Walt Disney World resort!
When you check in to
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, you’ll likely notice signs posted with Easter recreation offerings. Be sure to ask the front desk Cast Members about what special offerings will take place, as these vary from year to year and resort to resort. In my experience, there will likely be a character interaction Easter morning in your resort; we saw both Mickey and Minnie greeting Guests dressed in their springtime best on Easter Sunday last year. After we met Mickey, we were given a treat bag and were able to fill it with Easter candy. It was a really lovely experience.
If you visit Fulton’s General Store (the resort gift shop) you will likely see beautiful Easter baskets for sale. These are usually really cute, with Disney plus and other goodies inside. There may be special Easter brunch or dinner offerings at Boatwright’s Dining Hall, and you should be on the lookout for cute Easter cupcakes or treats in the food court. If you’re interested in seeing if there is a special meal at your resort, contact (407) WDW-DINE for more information. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for news about Easter activities; they recently published an article about
Easter offerings in Disney Springs, and another about
meeting the Easter Bunny in Magic Kingdom Park.
Wishing you a very happy Easter and a magical vacation,
Robyn
