    We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. We are doing Character meal at Chef Mickey's? How do we get there from our resort, and how long will the trip take?

    Hi Patricia!

    Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort.  Be sure to take the boat from Riverside to Downtown Disney one night; it is very relaxing and beautiful at night. 

    If you want to use Disney Transportation, the easiest way to get to Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort from Port Orleans Riverside is to take a bus from Riverside to the Magic Kingdom.  Then you can walk to the Contemporary.  It's about a 10 minute walk from the Magic Kingdom bus stop to Chef Mickey's.

    I would plan on the trip taking 45 minutes, which includes what I consider to be an average amount of time for waiting for the bus in the first place.  If you want to get there faster, then you could take a taxi directly from Port Orleans Riverside to the Contemporary Resort.  I have personally found taxis to be relatively inexpensive and quick when traveling on Walt Disney World property.
