Hiya, Nicole! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
It sounds like you have a PAW-some vacation in the works for you and your four-legged friends. I can’t think of a better way to ring in the new year than a trip to Walt Disney World, so let’s get you all squared away with the information you need to emBARK on your adventure at the Vacation Kingdom of the World.
I talked with a helpful Cast Member who confirmed that your dogs need to have the following vaccinations to be considered “properly vaccinated.”
- Rabies
- Distemper
- Parvovirus
- Denovirus (canine hepatitis)
- Parainfluenza
- Bordetella
Don’t forget, you will need to provide written proof of vaccination when you check in at Port Orleans- Riverside, or any other
dog-friendly accommodations at Walt Disney World. You can find more information about the hotel’s dog policy
here.
There are a lot of great amenities and dining at Port Orleans - Riverside, but make sure you wander over to Port Orleans - French Quarter, which is just next door. Here you’ll find
Scat Cat’s Club, home to the delicious Mickey-shaped beignets. Some people say these are the best treat in all of Walt Disney World, so it’s worth taking a walk over and doing a taste test for yourself.
Nicole, I hope this information helps and that you and your pups have a wonderful time on vacation. Don’t hesitate to come right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
