We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside, my brother and sister in law would like to come visit from Tampa for the day. Is there a guest pass we can purchase or will it be a problem for them to spend the day with us?

Hi Heather and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We have had local friends come for a visit several times when we were staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. My best advice is to speak to someone at the Lobby Concierge desk to make sure you understand the current policy at Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside. They can let you know which resort amenities you can share with your visiting family and which are off limits.

When arriving at the resort, your brother and sister-in-law will need to let the security guard at the entrance know they are there to visit you. The security guard will let them know how long they can park at the resort.

I think it's the best of both worlds when you're able to combine a Walt Disney World Vacation and spending time with family and friends! Heather, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other questions.
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
