Hi Margaret,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. Your stay at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside will be here in just a few more days! My family had a wonderful stay there earlier this year, and we loved the beautifully manicured grounds and variety of recreation options at the resort.
Most Walt Disney World buses can accommodate two
Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) each, so as long as there isn’t already an ECV on board, you should all be able to board a bus together.
Here’s where things get a little trickier: resort-to-resort bus transportation is not available at Walt Disney World, so you would need to take a bus to a theme park and then transfer to another bus headed to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for your breakfast at Whispering Canyon Café. Be prepared that, with transfers, this will likely take at least one hour, and maybe more like an hour and a half.
My advice is to check with a Cast Member at your resort to see what transportation options will work best for you. You will likely find that using accessible Lyft or Uber vehicles is a much faster option, though you will need to pay out of pocket to use these services. You could also look at Minnie Van service, which is a super cute way to travel around Walt Disney World Resort. A Cast Member at your resort will be able to present all options and help you determine what will work best for your group.
Enjoy your breakfast at Whispering Canyon Café, Margaret! I’m a huge fan of the biscuits and gravy on the All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Breakfast Skillet, which comes with classic Mickey Waffles, but I also loved the Banana Bread French Toast. It’s all so delicious!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
