Hi- Staying at Port Orleans - Riverside April 17th - 24th with DH and 3 kids (6, 4, and 1) - can you recommend the best area to stay - Aliligator Bayou or the mansions - we will have a stroller-room recommendation - close to pool, food, bus stop- thanks

    Hi Tracey!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Moms Panel.  I love Port Orleans Riverside.  I personally like the Alligator Bayou section and don't really care for the theming of the Magnolia Bend section.  However, I know lot of guests who would say the exact opposite.  It comes down to personal taste.  So I'll give a recommendation for both.

In Alligator Bayou, my family likes Buildings 14, 18, and 27, with a strong preference for 14 and then 18.  Those buildings are close to the main services building, where the front desk, Boatwright's Dining Hall, and the food court are located.  They are also relatively close to Ol' Man Island pool and the Fishin' Hole.  However, none of these building are close to a bus stop except by virtue of being close to the main building since there is a bus stop outside of it.

In Magnolia Bend, I recommend Buildings 90 and 85 with 90 being closest to the main services building, and 85 being closest to the pool.  There is a bus stop behind Building 85.

Be sure to take a boat to Downtown Disney.  It's a very relaxing and enjoyable trip, especially at night!

    Have a magical vacation!
