We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. We will be at Animal Kingdom till 2:30 pm and have a downtown Disney reservation for 4:30 pm. What is the best way to go from Animal Kingdom to downtown Disney?

    Hi Stacey,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! If by the "best" way you mean the fastest route, then I suggest taking a taxi from Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park to get to Downtown Disney Area. Downtown Disney Area is a little over 5 miles from Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park so, if you don't mind spending a little money on transportation, it's just a quick ride to get there.

If you would like to use Disney Bus Transportation, then I recommend taking the Bus back to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and then taking a ferryboat over to Downtown Disney Area. Transportation time from the Theme Parks to the Resorts can vary due to a variety of factors but average at about a thirty to forty minute commute time. Be sure to allow yourself plenty of travel time so that you may arrive on time for your Dining Reservation.

I hope this information helps! Please come back and visit us again if you have any more vacation planning questions!

    Magical Wishes,
