Welcome, Judy!
Are you ready for some fun down on the bayou? You have selected a magnificent resort for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I just stayed at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside last May and I can't wait to get back. The place is just dripping with Southern hospitality and charm.
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is an expansive complex of approximately two dozen buildings. It is divided into two sections: Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend. There are four bus stops that serve the guests staying at Riverside so you are never far from complimentary Disney transportation. If you want to get a good look at the layout of the resort, just do an online search for "Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside map" and you'll have a wide variety of images to peruse. I love to get a visual "lay of the land" before staying at any resort so I find it very useful to look at maps prior to arrival.
If you enjoy shopping, be sure to grab a
ferryboat at the resort's marina to
Disney Springs. There's nothing more peaceful than that lovely ride down the Sassagoula River. (I wish I were on that boat right now.) And, if you're looking for some amazing piano music, stop by the
River Roost Lounge when Yee Ha Bob is scheduled to play.
Let us know if there's anything more you'd like to know about Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. We'd be delighted to provide you with whatever information you need.
Sending best wishes and pixie dust,
Jill
