We will be staying at Port Orleans in March. We are a large family group (16) and have 6 children ranging in age from 8 months to 7 years. We wish to go out for one adult only dinner. Are there private babysitters that can be arranged through our resort?

    Hi Mary,

Children ages 3 to 12 can visit one of the of the Children's Activity Centers. These are located in the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Dolphin, Beach Club and Wilderness Lodge resorts and are available to Disney resort guests, even if you're not a guest at the particular hotel where the activity center is located.  The fee is $11.50 per child per hour, with a two-hour minimum, and includes dinner. Most of the child care centers are open from 4:30 pm to midnight. For more information or to reserve spots for your children, call 407-939-3463.

However, since you mentioned that some of the kids are under 3, your best bet is to call Kids Nite Out. This is a private company that offers in-room babysitting for children of all ages. For more information and to make reservations, call: 407-828-0920.

Hope this helps and enjoy your vacation,
