Hi Rachel,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Clearly, you are doing some magical planning already. This is an excellent question - staying hydrated during your visit is important!
At Disney's Port Orleans Resort you are going to love the resort experience. When you pick up food at the
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory or the
Riverside Mill Food Court, you could request disposable cups but I would not recommend taking that kind of cup to the parks. Park days can be long and hot. Disposable cups might not survive the day. We usually take our own water bottles for the girls. I make sure they are relatively slim and completely secure when closed. They also have to be able to fit snugly in the side pockets of our backpacks. My husband and I just pick up free cups of ice water throughout the parks. We also use those free cups of ice water to refill the girls' water bottles during the day.
Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter holds special memories for my husband and me because we stayed there on our honeymoon. The decor is lovely and the grounds are gorgeous. Since you will also be near Disney Springs, be sure to explore the dining and shops there as well. We just experienced
The Edison and it was stunning. I felt as if we were actually in the era of the famous inventor!
Rachel, sending pixie dust your way as you make the best plan for staying hydrated!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
