Hi! I am staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter and was wondering if the pool/hotel has life jackets for a 3 year old; and, if so, is there a sufficient supply? Also, are "swimmies" allowed for older children? Thank you!

    Hi Layne,

The pools at Walt Disney World resort do have flotation devices.  They are foam vests that children can wear.  Supervising adults must remain within arms reach of the child wearing the vest.  I assume that by "swimmies" you're referring to the arm bands that blow up.  Those are absolutely allowed as are swim rings and swim vests that you bring from home.  We've always used the vests provided at WDW resorts, and I've never run into a situation where there wasn't a sufficient supply.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
